Unresponsive Yahoo JavaScript When Yahoo Chat is Enabled
Have you ever experienced Yahoo not fully loading your web page? If yes, then we wish to share our experiences with Yahoo’s unresponsive javascript. We have observed that when we’re accessing our Yahoo mailbox and the Yahoo Chat is enabled, a script stops responding and and error message pops up (see photo below).

It might be a pain in the butt but the only way let users continue opening and reading emails is to disable the integrated Yahoo Chat within Yahoo Mail and everything’s back to normal. Just a short tip for people who are wondering why a script in Yahoo Mail suddenly stops responding. For additional info, we were using Firefox 3.5.2 when this event happened (a few times). It’s not a serious script error but nonetheless annoying. We have also noticed that this event started occurring when Yahoo Mail Classic Upgrade was launched in January of 2009.
