Yeah we got our Wicked Lasers Evolution Pro sample from the manufacturer a week ago. Technical specs of this item can be found in our previous article. Our unbiased Evolution Pro laser pointer review was made by 2 of our site’s members, including this author. The price of this green laser pointer is under $118 + variable shipping fees depending on your location. They ship worldwide and customers have the option to order LaserShades Goggles (protective eyewear) amounting to $40 or LaserShields Goggles which sells separately for $100. Of course, customers may or may not buy this add-on but we recommend you buy this as well for added eye protection.

Wicked Lasers Green Evolution Pro Model With Red LaserShades

At first glance, the green laser pointer looked like a long piece of first-class tobacco. It feels solid to the touch despite it being a lightweight laser pointer. The body, which is made of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, is very rigid. We dropped it from a height of 4 feet without damaging the body. It only sustained minor scratches from the rough concrete pavement we used in testing the product. The lens did not sustain any serious damage as well but a direct impact on the lens could break it.

The price range of Wicked Lasers Evolution Pro Green Laser Pointer ($118-418, shipping fee not included) is a bit steep to some people we have interviewed but in our opinion, the pricing is fair. Of course you can settle for cheap lasers or laser pointers sold by other companies at the expense of quality. With a Wicked Lasers Evolution Pro Laser Pointer, we can assure you the quality is indeed very good and is worth your hard-earned money.

The very powerful light emitted by our green Wicked Lasers Evolution Pro sample product was amazing! The 2-kilometer cell tower in our location looked fun to watch as the laser effortlessly lit the tip of the tower up during the night of testing. Because of this power, the manufacturers placed some warnings. One of which is placed on the sticker near the tip of the laser pointer. It reads “DO NOT SHINE YOUR LASER AT AN AIRCRAFT”. The laser can disrupt the pilots and might cause accidents. In some countries like the United States, pointing your laser at an aircraft is a crime punishable by law. We would also suggest you keep a safe distance from the laser as it can hurt your skin, damage soft materials like plastics and cloth. The concentrated light the laser pointer produces can become hot enough to pop balloons, light up a match or a stick of cigarette (especially if your batteries are new). The 2 AA batteries needed to power this device were used efficiently during our series of tests to prove if the manufacturers’ claims are true. Fortunately, Wicked Lasers proved to be very powerful as what the manufacturers claimed on paper. No wonder the product was awarded a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s most powerful handheld laser. Wicked Lasers definitely deserve the honor.

On the other hand, since this is an unbiased review, we would like to suggest some improvements to the green Wicked Lasers Evolution Pro models. First, it needs a “safety locking mechanism”. We toyed with the item for almost a day trying all twists and turns but we can’t find a way to lock the item safely. We tried putting it in our car’s glove box and found out that when another solid object presses on its power button, the power stays on. For safety reasons, the safety lock is one feature we would like to see in the future revision of this product. For now the alternative to this is to remove the 2 AA batteries to make sure accidental pressing of the power button won’t damage anything the light touches. Avoid looking at the laser light without the protective goggles. I tell you, if you do this you’ll really hurt your eyes.

Overall, the green Evolution Pro laser pointer created by Wicked Lasers is a great product and it has served us well. You can use it in so many ways. The range of the light is very huge. The laser can reach distances farther than our eyes could see. It can produce enough heat (2 feet maximum) to light things up and during the night, you can use it as a communication device, a marker or simply a pointer.
