I-O Data ALIMO IAT-PSR701 7-inch Android Slate PC Released
I-O Data is finally delivering an Android Slate PC for the Japanese Market. Unfortunately, the I-O Data Alimo IAT-PSR701 Tablet PC will ship out with the old Android 2.2 Froyo OS like the like the Dell Streak 7 4G Tablet PC. However, the company promises to issue an Android OS 2.3 update before the year ends.
I-O Data Alimo IAT-PSR701 Android Slate PC looks very impressive with its modernistic design. It comes with rumored to be a 800Hz dual-core CPU, 7-inches multi-touch display (800x480p), Bluetooth 2.0, Flash Player 10.1 support, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and a dual camera system.

Do you want a uniquely-designed android tablet computer? Check out the ALIMO 7-inch Slate PC.
The Alimo IAT-PSR701 Slate PC comes with 3.2 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. Knowing the manufacturer’s expertise in media player production, expect this Android device to be constructed with the best materials.
With so many Android Honeycomb 3.0 tablets such as the Sony S2 Android Tablet PC already in the market and more forthcoming, I-O Data hopes to leverage their existing customers base who already owned other I-O Data products.
This is what makes the Alimo IAT-PSR701 Slate PC attractive. It will work with any I-O Data video recorder, media players and other electronic appliances such as the I-O Data HDPN-U500/V video back-up storage! This device will be able to wirelessly control and access images, videos and other files from other I-O Data products.
The Alimo IAT-PSR701 Slate PC is scheduled to be released this August in Japan with a retail price tag of 34,800 Yen or around $440. No word yet if it will also be sold in other countries. Hopefully, should they decide to export this to the US or Europe, the Alimo ought to be running with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
