ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101 Android Tablet PC Released in Japan
Asustek Inc. has decided to first launch the much-anticipated Asus Eee Pad Transformer in Japan instead of the U.S. or Europe. The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is very unique because it’s the only Android Tablet PC that comes with a dedicated keyboard docking station. Attach the Transformer to this dock and get a full QWERTY keyboard that has exclusive Android OS Function keys.

Japan gets first commercial launching of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Android 3.0 tablet PC.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Model TF101 is a Tablet PC that can be used as a netbook with keyboard dock. The QWERTY keyboard attachment extends the Transformer’s original battery life of 9.5 hours to 16 hours because ASUS incorporated an extra-thin Lithium Ion battery inside the keyboard dock.
The lucky Japanese people will have to shell out 59,800 Yen or around $733 to own the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. It’s more expensive than the Windows 7-powered MSI WindPad 110W 10.1″ Tablet considering this tablet is only running the free Android OS but if you hate Windows then it’s a good deal.
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor that’s perfect for multitasking and 1080p Full HD playback. The Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS gives desktop-like experience which gives this tablet support for Adobe Flash Player 10.2. Gaming on this tablet will be a blaze since it comes with Nvidia’s embedded graphics for true 3D Android gaming.
Asus says the high price is because of the special 10.1-inch capacitive display of this ASUS Eee Pad Tablet PC. It has a scratch-resistant and super durable glass Brilliant IPS panel with an ultra-wide 178 degree viewing angle. There’s also the special premium SRS 3D Surround technology that makes this Tablet PC an excellent media player.
Due to its high asking price, Asus is sweetening the deal with free 1 year unlimited Asus Webstorage back up service. For storage expandability and easy sharing, TF101 has two USB ports, SD and Micro SD card readers. They are also giving out free copy of Polaris Office for mobile productivity.
