Better late than never… bModo, a California-based company may have failed to deliver this tablet in time for the holiday shopping season but I’m looking forward to the bModo12’s success. The online store is selling it for $799 for 1GB RAM version and $849 for the 2GB RAM-equipped version. These prices are inclusive of the Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
I hope this cheap Windows 7 tablet PC really lives up to the hype. The single-core 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor seems old now for a 2011 computer but bModo is very confident their tablet will offer snappy multi-tasking performance. Based on their tests, the bModo12 got an excellent benchmark score on Adobe Photoshop.
Other notable features of the bModo12 are a larger than the Apple iPad 11.6 inch display which supports 1366 x 768 resolution, a 32GB SSD hard drive, microSD card slot, 3G SIM card slot, 1.3-megapixel camera, 2 USB ports, 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, HDMI port, stereo speakers and an embedded Intel GMA 500 graphics accelerator with discrete HD 1080p accelerator.
