At the end of the first day he should have bought the fully upgraded radar, at least level 3 fuel sucker, then upgraded his L/R thrusters and his fuel, and ignoring the launcher upgrades. Knowing which platforms to aim for and having the ability to stay in the air longer is exponentially more important than getting a higher initial launch. I've made it to the moon on the first launch (day 1) and Mars on the next launch using this method. 4 days is pitiful. This guy has NO idea how to play this game.
