COD6 Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 System Requirements for the PC

If you played Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare without problems, then you will be able to play the newer version of the game (Call of Duty 6 (COD 6): Modern Warfare 2) for PC. For PS3 and Xbox 360 gaming consoles, there’s actually no problem encountered so far for as long as the gaming consoles are in good working conditions. But for the new player wanting to play the game in a Windows environment, here is the suggested minimum PC setup or requirements:

Minimum PC System Requirements / Specifications

Processor: 2.4 GHz dual core or better is recommended
Display Card: 3.0 Shader Support recommended. Nvidia Geforce 7800 or better or ATI Radeon X1800 or better
Memory: 1024 MB RAM
Free Disk Space: 8GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 7

You might have noticed that Windows XP and Win 7 are the chosen Operating Systems. Does it mean it say that it does not run on Vista? No… Vista is known to be slow at games. Remember, a game of this magnitude, requiring a lot of processing and GPU power will probably run better on faster Operating Systems like Windows 7 Ultimate and XP. This video game is not designed for Linux-based systems but you can try and use WINE if this game will load and run without problems. We cannot guarantee its success though but we’d appreciate if you could tell us all about it through the comments section if this actually work.

Some Tips on Playing Call of Duty 6 (COD 6): Modern Warfare 2

The better the computer system, the smoother the game becomes. The movement control would be instantaneous and maximum control is achieved. Games lag mostly on underpowered computer systems, heat and heating components. So be sure to check all your computer fans and cooling mechanisms before plunging in to the game to ensure maximum satisfaction.

One more thing before I forget, use a good dynamic headset and immerse yourself with the realistic sound and sound effects of Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2.     @AhmD, of course you can run Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2. i have intel celeron d 2gbs ram n 8400gs 256mb ram with 17″ monitor,the game runs smoothly with all setting maxed out no AA of course.i manage to overclock my 2.66Ghz celeron d up to 3.2Ghz!on the other hand i have intel core i7 975,24gb ddr3 ram, asus rampage 2 motherboard, 2x gtx 295 graphics card from asus n dry ice cooling with plenty of hdd space! im talking about 2x 1tb western digital hdd!manage to overclock to nearly 7Ghz!hook it up to my 52″ plasma tv n put on the nvidia 3d vision glass…its just amazing! it feels like you are in the game! anyway what model is your graphic card?

    23 GB free disk space.(i think)
    that is all the info i can find about my computer’s system. Will it work on Call of Duty 6?

    Guys its not only this thinks you need a good graphic card!! I have pentium dual cpu T3400 2.16ghz(2CPUs)~2,2GHz and i can play it cause of 2 gb ram and 1 gb graphic card

    U’l need at least 2.20 ghz n a nvdia gefoorce 8400 or ati.. with a ram of minimum 512.. 256 wil do..bt 512 is much better..

    Intel Dual Core 1.6ghz, 512 mb ram Memory, 256 mb video card nvidia, my harddisk is not that much big its just 250 gb. im below the minimum requirements but i can play it!!!

    can the game run on my computer?? I have an intel celeron dual core 1.8GHz, 3gb of memory, 64bit operating system, no dedicated graphics card(but it can run Age of Empires smoother than a friend’s PC wich has a nvidia graphics card. It’s a dell inspiron 1545.

    @joe, your better off installing daemon tools and downloading the image file of the net. i have a crappy 4x but i never use it, i just go to the local lan party and hit up DC++ and bam.

    @rahul, it depends on your video card. if you’ve got a crappy onboard video card built into the motherboard then your chances aren’t looking too great. give it a go and if it doesn’t work then you will need to buy a laptop video card which is double the price of a PC.

    Was quite surprised.
