Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 | COD 6 New Texture Streaming Feature
The game Call of Duty (COD 6): Modern Warfare 2 is a sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. With each sequel or installment to the game we expect some changes especially to graphics, visual content and sound. As part of our review of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, we’d like first to say something about its new Texture Streaming feature. We were totally impressed! You can see a sample photo of the game (screenshots side-by-side) with and without Streaming. You will notice a huge difference in the texture of characters and maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (COD 6).

In this new game, there is innovation in gameplay, new features, new weapons, new maps, and of course, a leap in visual fidelity with Texture Streaming technology. A major component in the new engine technology that has the greatest impact on these enhancements is the new hi-res Texture Streaming functionality included in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 COD 6.
Texture streaming allows the game designers the freedom to make much bigger or larger environments, like the scene above, while also increasing the amount of detail on the characters, and environments in the vicinity of the player. This technology manages memory allotment more efficiently than previous editions or versions of COD Modern Warfare.
In the pic shown above, you’ll notice a great difference in detail. The image on the right is displayed in hi-res and you can see the significant difference. Judging from the pic alone, one can tell very easily if Texture Streaming functionality is enabled or disabled.
The be able to use this feature, a capable video card must be installed in a desktop PC. Video cards like Nvidia Geforce 7800 or ATI X1800 are capable to render Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 without noticeable problems. With Night Vision Goggles (NVG) COD Modern Warfare 2 becomes a much enjoyable video game to play. It may not run quite as well in laptops and netbooks due to hardware limitations.

Hello ? set up the game and when I click shortcut to launch game a warning message that says ”stream must be running to play game” is coming
and i cant launch the game.. what can i do? or whats the reason of this fault?
