Red Eclipse is based on the open-source Cube Engine 2 and uses SSL and OpenGL technology. While it may not offer graphics quality as beautiful as you would find in Call of Duty or Crysis 2, this FPS game boasts an excellent map editor. Players can create their own multiplayer maps and share it online for others to play with.
I’m currently downloading the PC version of Red Eclipse, it’s around 408MB in size. I’ll try to review this game in the future along with its performance in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. and Mac OS X 10.6.4 but for now, as per the developer’s website, this game features “Agile GamePlay.” It means the physics programming of Red Eclipse allows players to wall run/kick, impulse dash and use jetpacks. Flying and shooting FTW, Red Eclipse is my kind of game!
