RuneScape Players Voted To Restore The Wilderness PvP Map and Free Trade
If you’re excited about the Rock Band Network 2.0 release date, then here’s another good news for video gamers like myself. RuneScape developer, Jagex is happy to announce that more than 1.2 million players took part in their poll regarding the return of the open PvP map, The Wilderness, and Free Trade. The poll results are in, and believe it or not, over 91% of players voted Yes to this referendum!
If you miss the old RuneScape chaos, I'm happy to tell you that open PvP and Free Trade is coming back to this game!
The CEO of Jagex, Mark Gerhard, said “It has been fantastic to watch the community mobilize in support of the update and we can now introduce these features certain in the knowledge that they are what our community wants.” The overwhelming majority of votes for the restoration of The Wilderness and Free Trade is a big surprise!
If you are an old-timer at RuneScape, you will know that The Wilderness has been gone for almost four years now. The Wilderness is the most dangerous map! It’s the only place where players are allowed not only to openly kill other players but also permits the looting of an enemy’s equipment!
According to Gerhard the return of The Wilderness map is scheduled for a February 1 release date. RuneScape players will once again experience the fear and excitement of getting killed and having all their hard-earned equipments stolen by others! RuneScape has become too stale and lost most of its veteran players. Hopefully, the open PvP will attract the old-timers.
As for the Free Trade, Jagex removed this feature because of the notorious Real Money Trading abuse that happened before. However, since majority of their customers wants it back, they will have no choice but to restore it. Life is about making money anyway. If some rich fool wants to pay me $50 for my leet sword, so be it!
