The ViewSonic VPD400 4.3-inch Moviebook was launched by ViewSonic in November 2009. ViewSonic pioneered the first generation of “moviebooks” that is actually a portable media player that has additional features and the first to be released was the ViewSonic VPD400 Moviebook in 2009. As a follow up to this new line of media players, three more moviebooks were introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 (CES 2010) and they are the ViewSonic VPD550T, VPD513T and VPD422T Moviebooks.

ViewSonic Moviebooks: ViewSonic VPD550T, VPD513T and VPD422T Moviebook Debut at CES 2010
The Consumer Electronics Show 2010 in Las Vegas gave way for the debut of three new ViewSonic moviebooks. Moviebooks are actually portable media players or personal media viewers. ViewSonic called these new generation of media players as moviebooks but these products don’t just play movies but have other features as well. ViewSonic Moviebooks such as the ViewSonic VPD550T, VPD513T and VPD422T also have music players and image viewers.
