PS3 Update 2.52: Sony Playstation PS3 Updates Firmware to 2.52

Sony just made a PS3 update to 2.52. This is a follow-up to Sony’s earlier update to PS3 firmware to 2.42 (PS3 Update 2.42 Ready for Download But Offers No Significant Improvement to the Old PS3 Firmware). This time, PS3 firmware is updated to 2.52 which includes the following improvements:

  1. The playback quality of some PS3 format software has been improved.
  2. A text entry issue that occurs when using the on-screen keyboard, USB keyboard or Bluetooth keyboard with some PS3 format software has been addressed.
Don’t get too excited Sony PS3 users because the PS3 update to 2.52 is only a minor update to the PlayStation firmware version. Other upcoming PS3 updates are in the works so stay tuned for the latest updates on your Playstation firmware. Sony still has to make some improvements on PS3. :-)
