PS3 3D Games Not Included in the Free Playstation 3 Software Update
Soy announced a few days ago that PS3 3D games or Playstation 3 3D stereoscopic games are not yet available for the PS3 Gaming console despite the release of the latest system software update v3.30 (as of 04/22/2010). You can, by the way, download the free upgrade or update to your PS3 system software 3.30 via System Update and two other methods discussed below.

Sony is serious in delivering 3D home entertainment this 2010 including the Sony PlayStation 3 3D experience. Aside from the Sony BRAVIA 3DTV, Sony PlayStation 3 3D Gaming will be launched this 2010. PlayStation 3 units will be able to play 3D stereoscopic games. This means the Sony PS3 3D Gaming won’t run “real 3D” games but will play stereoscopic 3D games that are products of optical illusion.

PS3 Update 2.70: Sony PS3 2.70 Firmware Update
PS3 Update 2.70 is Sony’s latest firmware update to PS3. Sony once again announced the PS3 2.70 update which will allow PlayStation 3 users to Text Chat each other – the firmware’s latest networking feature and a catchy one, if we may add. Although this upgrade is not yet available (as of this writing), its official release will be made known to the public by its creators, according to the announcement they posted on their website.

After eagerly anticipating the PS3 announcement which we thought was mind-boggling and nerve-wreaking, Sony PS3 announcement turned out to be for the PS2. Price cuts on PS2 was announced a few hours ago where the Sony PlayStation 2 units will be sold for under 100 bucks starting April 1st (probably after the April 1 virus strike, lol!).
