Download Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Android OS 2.1 Free Update Now!
The Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS has been out for more than a week now and it was indeed frustrating to all Xperia X10 users for Sony Ericsson’s release of the much-awaited Android 2.1 OS update. Up until a few minutes ago, my very own unit is still running the old Android OS 1.6, which is slow and a proven battery drainer (although the Xperia’s LCD screen is mainly to be blamed for the high battery consumption of the device).

Sony Ericsson Finally Released the Android OS 2.1 Free Update for Xperia X10!
Free Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Android OS 2.1 OTA Update Expected this Month
My editor Jessie owns an Xperia X10. I think he doesn’t love it anymore because it is still stuck on Android OS 1.6. For a handset that expensive, Sony Ericsson failed to provide its customers the necessary services to its customers. This is very different from Samsung as the the OTA update is already rolling out in select location.
T-Mobile Offers Device Tune-Up Beta: Free Android App That Speeds Up Android Phones
The Beta Version of Device Tune-Up App, a utility app that speeds up android phones is now offered by T-Mobile. Android phone owners who are T-Mobile subscribers may now enjoy faster performance for their Android 2.1 or older phones with the help of T-Mobile’s free but beta version of Device Tune-up application. According to the company, Device Tune-up is made to run in the background at all times and will continuously optimize your phone by closing unused services that are running. It is different from the free Task Killer app for Android phones like Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 (read my hands-on review of the android phone) and Motorola i1 because the free Device Tune-up app will not require any action from the user.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini: World’s Smallest Android Phone
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Smartphone is another android handset by Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Series. It is a smaller and lower-end version of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Android Phone. Like the X10, the SE Xperia X10 Mini Phone runs on the Android 1.6 operating system. It was first revealed in February 14, 2010 and then released in May 2010. With its dimension of 3.3 x 2.0 x 0.6 inches, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini is dubbed as the World’s Smallest Android Phone at present.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Review: Specs and Features are Fantastic Except for the Installed Android OS
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Hands-On Review: Almario already wrote about the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Free Software Update Download in the previous post. Like other Xperia X10 owners, I was hoping that the software upgrade would have included the Android OS 2.1 (Eclair) or better yet, Android 2.2 Froyo update. The first problem I have noticed with with the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is its old Android OS. I cannot download and play some free apps on Xperia X10 via the Android Market and this is annoying to me. However, judging the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 specs and features, this android phone rocks!
Cheap Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 Shakira Launched After SE Xperia X10 Flopped in Europe
Sony Ericsson launched the cheap Xperia X8 android phone after the high-end Xperia X10 did not enjoy success in Europe as Sony would have wanted. This is mainly because of its high-price tag so company is changing tactics. They are now going for mass-market appeal with the new Xperia 8 which was previously codenamed Shakira. The first attempt to attract budget-conscious buyers with the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini also failed. This time, however, Sony hopes to attract more customers with its latest Xperia model. It is larger than the Mini but will sell for less than 200 euros ($250). It’s a hybrid of sort between the pricey Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and the SE Xperia X10 Mini, features-wise.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Face Recognition Feature and Technical Specs
Aha, the geeks at Sony Ericsson have taken my and others’ suggestion that it should make an Android smartphone in releasing the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. Release date of SE Xperia X10 is yet to be announced but you may “pre-register” on Sony Ericsson’s website to receive notification of its availability. As you may also recall, the Windows Mobile 6.5-powered Sony Xperia X2 was recently dropped by Vodafone from its flagship roster. The British Telecom giant said they will focus on promoting Google’s Nexus One Phone instead of the Xperia 2.
