For those who are interested in Sony DCR-SX41 or have already purchased one, you need to know this. If you think the 8GB built-in memory of Sony SX41 is already adequate, then that’s fine. Else, get a Memory Stick Pro Duo to add memory to your Sony DCR-SX41 camcorder. This will ensure that you will record longer video footage in a single session without copying the video files to your computer just to free up some space in your Memory Stick.

Sony SX41 aka Sony DCR-SX41 Flash Camcorder Specs and Price

The Sony SX41 or Sony DCR-SX41 Flash Camcorder is a good alternative to the previous camcorder we have featured here – the  Hitachi DZ BD70A BluRay 5.3MP DVD high definition camcorder. Comparing Sony SX41 and Hitachi DZ BD70A features and technical specifications, we are inclined to go for Sony SX41. Here are the reasons why:

First, the Sony SX41 has an embedded 8GB internal memory, which according to Sony, can store videos of up to 6 hours. Second, The Sony SX41 is cheaper by 300 US dollars compared to Hitachi DZ BD70A (Sony SX41 – $299 on Amazon while the cost of Hitachi DZ BD70A is almost $600). Price is a factor in choosing many electronic products like camcorders, right? With the technical specifications and good features of Sony SX41, we do not find the shots of the two products significantly different. Besides, our need for video quality is not so high – picnics, parties and other personal stuff. Sony SX41 is a good choice in our opinion. Read more
