Sony is really having a bad year this 2011. First, the PlayStation 3 firmware got rooted by GeoHot (see PS3 Hack news article) and now Sony’s facing another terrible turn of events. The Hague’s civil court of the European Union has granted LG Electronics petition for preliminary injunction. This ruling forbids all PlayStation 3 sales in Europe starting February 28, 2011.
Sony loses its case and LG Electronics wins. European Union countries are imposing a ban on the sale of PlayStation 3 consoles.
