Hewlett-Packard is continuously developing the webOS. As a matter of fact, the company released the new Update for Palm Pre 2 – the Palm webOS 2.0 in late 2010. This year, HP unveiled three new webOS devices – HP TouchPad, HP Veer and HP Pre 3.

HP announced the new update for Palm Pre 2 the Palm webOS 2.0 in October 2010. After its release, HP continues to develop the webOS by Palm. Hewlett-Packard has announced three new webOS devices and is even taking the webOS to the big screen.
The HP TouchPad, a new 9.7-inch tablet PC featuring the webOS was introduced by Hewlett Packard. It is the first HP slate to use the webOS after HP acquired Palm. One of the nice features of the HP TouchPad is its support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1 that lacks in the Apple iPad.
Just as HP announced their new webOS 2.0, the company also revealed that France Telecom operator SFR will be the first carrier to debut the new Palm Pre 2 with Palm webOS 2.0 on October 21. Depending on your timezone, the release date is definitely today, as per official announcement.
HP finally kept its promise that after buying out Palm Inc for $1.2 billion earlier this year, they will continue developing webOS. On October 19, 2010 at Palo Alto California, HP unveiled the all new HP Palm webOS 2.0 that was even leaked on a French website earlier this month.
French mobile carrier SFR leaked HP’s imminent release of the Palm Pre 2 smartphone. This leak came from a teaser page from the French website of SFR.
