2011 Ford Explorer: Fifth Generation Ford Explorer Production Starts in 2010
The 2011 Ford Explorer is the fifth generation of Ford Explorer SUV. It was introduced as one of Ford’s concept cars or vehicles in the 2008 North American International Auto Show (Detroit Auto Show). The 2011 model of Ford Explorer was nicknamed America concept vehicle.
In December 2009, 2011 Ford Explorer was spied on the streets of Detroit, Michigan undergoing road test getting it ready for production. However, it was covered with a black sheet to conceal its design. As of the 26th of January 2010, Ford Motor Company confirmed the production start of fifth generation Ford Explorer (2011 model).
