Nokia E7 Powered by Symbian^3 OS Debuts at Nokia World in London
Nokia unveiled another Symbian^3-powered smartphone called the Nokia E7 at Nokia World 2010 event in London. While the Nokia N8 was more of a multimedia powerhouse, the Nokia E7 is solidly aimed for the business and enterprise market. The Nokia E7 is the latest reincarnation of the legendary Nokia Communicator series that businessmen around the globe used to love before BlackBerry was even famous.
Nokia C3 Touch and Type Phone Unveiled at Nokia World Summit in London
Participants at the currently running Nokia World Summit in London were a bit surprised that Nokia announced a new Nokia C3 Touch and Type entry-level phone. In my previous Nokia C3 review, I gushed over its BlackBerry-like full QWERTY keyboard design. But now I’m also surprised that this Nokia C3 Touch and Type is nothing like its namesake. Sure they are running the same Symbian S40 OS but in terms of looks and construction, Nokia’s C3 Touch and Type phone is a big departure from the Nokia C3!
Nokia C6 Review: Nokia N97 Mini Stripped Down With a Lower Price
Rounding up Nokia’s C-series of new smartphones is the top-of–the-line C6. This slider phone mimics the look-and-feel of the Nokia N97 Mini. They both share the same screen display size and powered by an ARM 11 434 Mhz processor. The touchscreen display is also resistive and needs extra effort to use. If you don’t like touch typing, there’s a very good slide-out keyboard. The Nokia C6, like the N97 Mini, runs on Symbian S60 5th Edition OS.
Nokia C3 Review: Cheap Social Networking SmartPhone with Wi-Fi Support
Earlier in my previous article about the Nokia C5, I lamented the sad fact that it was lacking Wi-Fi and has no QWERTY keyboard. Fortunately, the company is also offering the Nokia C3 which resembles the Nokia E63 and also features Wi-Fi support. The E63 became an instant hit for its BlackBerry-style construction and cheap price tag when it was first introduced in 2008. The C3 is most likely the sequel to this model.
Nokia C5 Review: The New Budget SmartPhone for the Masses That Runs on Symbian S60
With the release of Nokia C5, Nokia is really trying hard to earn itself a solid foothold on the smartphone market. While it is still the world’s undisputed king of cellphone makers, the Finnish company has so far failed to garner any impact on the profitable smartphone category. Apple and Blackberry are lording it over this sector and Nokia’s attempt to dislodge them with similar high-priced models has so far failed. Nokia is changing tact and is now focused on offering cheap smartphone for budget-conscious people.
