Motorola Milestone 2 aka Droid 2 Release Date and Price on Vodafone UK
Motorola recently announced that the European version of their Droid 2, the Motorola Milestone 2 is now available for purchase by UK residents starting November 20. Customers there may get it for free from Vodafone under a £30 per month two year phone contract. In comparison with Motorola Droid Pro on Verizon, this model has a touch screen display and slide out keyboard while the Droid Pro edition has a full QWERTY keyboard in its front panel.

Motorola unveiled their environment-friendly Motorola Citrus Android phone at CTIA 2010 in San Francisco. The company says the feature-rich Citrus droid phone is also an excellent eco-friendly product because its body is made of 25% recycled consumer plastic materials, is PVC and BFR-free and comes packaged in a recycled cartoon. The Motorola Citrus is also certified CarbonFree by the CarbonFund organization. FYI, the first eco-friendly phone by Motorola was the Motorola W233 Renew, released in 2009.

The company announced on March 24 at the 2010 CTIA, that they are launching the Motorola i1 – the first Android smart phone compatible with Sprint’s Nextel Direct Connect iDEN service. This handset will operate on iDEN 800/900 Mhz band and will be offered to customers this coming Summer of 2010.
