After more than 7 months of Beta testing, Microsoft officially released final version of Microsoft Office 365 on June 28, 2011. The official release date was first confirmed by Jon Roskill, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of Worldwide Partner Group via Twitter.
Microsoft is trying to market their upcoming online productivity suite, Office 365. Work anywhere, anytime, work from a computer or WP7 smartphone!

Microsoft Still King of the OS Market: 78.6% of the Planet Still Uses Microsoft Windows!
Gartner, Inc., the world’s leading tech research company has issued their official OS analysis report for 2010. And it’s a no big surprise that Microsoft still commands a near-monopoly on the $30-billion annual business for computer operating systems. As per Gartner’s report, Microsoft took the lion share of 78.6% of all commercial personal and business OS market. That giant slice gave Microsoft $23.84 Billion of revenue!
The statistics don't lie, Microsoft is still 2010's biggest money-maker on the OS sector with almost 79% of total global marketshare.
Microsoft Releases Developer Tool to Port iOS Apps to Windows Phone 7 Platform
After almost 6 months since Windows Phone 7 handsets were released, the Windows Phone 7 MarketPlace still only has 10,000 apps which are nothing compared to the more than 200,000 Android apps and 300,000 apps at iTunes. Microsoft is evidently not happy with this sad fact and the software giant has decided to hasten the process by releasing a new Windows Phone 7 developer tool that will help quickly convert existing iOS apps and games to the WP7 platform.

Microsoft is Paying Nokia US$1 Billion to Use Windows Phone 7 OS on Smartphones
Respected business website, Bloomberg, published an article saying that one of their corporate spies has found out that Nokia’s recent love for Windows Phone 7 OS is because Microsoft offered the Finnish company a sweet $1 billion cash bonus. This is according to two insiders working on the contract between the two companies. One of the terms of the agreement stipulate this one-time payment of US$1 Billion to Nokia.

Judge Dismisses WGA Lawsuit vs Microsoft Corporation
The WGA lawsuit was filed last 2006 and after more than 3 years of litigation, Microsoft and the complainants have settled their issues and both agreed the lawsuit should no longer proceed. U.S. District Court Judge Richard Jones dismissed the case after Microsoft and the complainants requested the case be withdrawn because they have come to a mutually-satisfactory agreement. This event means Microsoft is no longer under threat of paying hundreds of millions of dollars in potential penalty.

In a shocking revelation, Charlie Kindel, chief of Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 Series development team, confirmed that they have decided to disable third-party apps from doing multi-tasking on their new mobile operating system. He explained that Microsoft needs more strict control over the platform to prevent third-party apps doing excessive background processing which not only depletes battery power but might also cause instability.
