LG Electronics of Korea was supposed to hold a press conference this September 14 for their new Optimus line of products but the company made an unexpected revelation during at the currently running IFA 2010 convention in Berlin. The company showcased their much-anticipated LG Optimus 7 Smartphone with Windows Phone 7 OS, when an LG employee started streaming media files to DLNA-enabled TV products around the conference area! It was quite impressive to see this phone sending photos and HD videos to huge 55-inch LCD TVs!

Intel’s Keynote presentation at CES 2010 had the LG W990 mobile phone as the star example of Intel’s bid to sell its Moorestown platform for next-gen smartphones. LG W990 looks very much like the new LG Chocolate BL40 and BL20v models and Moorestown is being predicted to break Qualcomm’s majority share of smart phone processors. Intel’s Atom processors have become the industry standard for netbooks and small laptops. The microchip giant is aiming to achieve this feat again on the smart phone segment.
