January 16, 2010 · Filed Under Internet News · 2 Comments

They want a cut from the billions of dollars that RIM and Apple Inc are raking in. Kodak has filed formal suit versus RIM and Apple Inc. claiming the two smartphone makers violated a number of Kodak patents on digital camera, specifically the “a Kodak patent that covers technology related to a method for previewing images” as well as “certain computer processes” (against Apple), Kodak said in their press release. The film and digital camera company has already asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to issue legal order stopping shipments and sales of iPhones and Blackberrys until the patent dispute is resolved.
