If you have not jailbroken your iPhone 3G yet but wish to do so using the free Redsnow software, here is a quick video tutorial on how to accomplish that. You can easily jailbreak your iPhone 3G using Redsnow but be sure to listen to the tutorial as backing may be necessary to revert the changes made to your precious iPhone unit’s firmware. This tutorial using Redsnow does not work with the latest iPhone 3G S (yet) but might in the next update of  the software. Previously, I have posted here some common causes of USB/Flash drive data loss. After downloading and testing some free data recovery softwares designed to restore/recover lost or deleted data, I am posting now my verdict on the efficiency and performance of these free softwares.

Generally, all data recovery softwares perform the same – free or commercial. I have actually used a commercial software (whose name I will no longer mention here) but did not perform significantly better than freewares.
