In my two previous articles I reported that app developer Thuat Nguyen’s iTunes activities were suspected of fraud and his account was suspended. Nguyen managed to snag 40 of the Top 50 ranking on the best-selling books on iTunes Store by using other people’s accounts to make illegal purchases of his own paid books. In my previous article I reported that an Asian app developer named Thuat Nguyen was suspended by Apple due to criminal activities. He was suspected to have stolen other people’s accounts in iTunes AppStore and used them to buy his paid book apps since April this year. I also said in my earlier report that I doubt if Nguyen is alone in this hacking fiasco. My suspicion has just been confirmed, Apple has discovered other thieving app developers who are either under investigation or already suspended. These illicit app developers were also found out to have sold too many of their software products even though some of there are just plain useless apps.

Apple’s AppStore was recently hacked by an Asian hacker, allegedly. Two keen-eyed app developers spotted a suspicious occurrence in the iTunes Market this week. They noticed that the Top Books Paid Software category on iTunes Market is being dominated by books created by just one Asian developer named Thuat Nguyen. The Top Books lists 50 of the best-selling book apps on iTunes and suspiciously Thuat Nguyen owns 40 of them! Not even Twilight books are in the top 10 and it’s the hottest trend in the world today with the release of the Twilight: Eclipse movie – which is already breaking box-office records.
