FarmVille Earnings: Farmville Earned $145M in 2009

February 13, 2010 · Filed Under Farmville · 1 Comment

I am in total awe of Zynga’s FarmVille. This very plain casual farming simulation game managed to rack up more than a hundred million dollars of sales in less than 6 months! Launched only on Facebook last June 19, 2009, FarmVille still topped the world’s virtual item market! Zynga farm-simulation game managed to earn $145 million dollars ending December 31, 2009. It is now the undisputed #1 app not only on Facebook but also the entire social gaming business. As of January 2009, Farmville has 72 million monthly active users and counting. Compare this to current MMORPG leader World of Warcraft (one of the world’s most addictive games) that only has around 12million subscribers. This feat is more astonishing since World of Warcraft (WOW) has been around since 2004. It took them 4 years to hit the 10m mark of players. FarmVille did it in 1 month!

Alright, here’s one Farmville cheat I’m going to share with you. You can look into more Farmville cheats and tutorials in our archives but this one is for harvesting crops faster than usual (to earn more coins later). Ok I am now level 9 in less than a day of playing FarmVille. I hope you took my advice to concentrate on planting strawberries because it gives the best experience rate during early levels. I also expect you plowed most of your farm land and have them productive. Look at my screenshot. I maximized my early land area with almost 95% planted with strawberries. This is not even one of the Top 10 Most Profitable Crops to Plant in Farmville but for experimentation purposes, I used it anyway. This huge size of crop area is already giving me a headache. Plowing, planting and harvesting strawberries take a long time because my farmer is such a slow cartoon. I am trying to level very quickly to access better crops to plant so I did some brainstorming on how to speed up the process of FarmVille Activities.

Her’s one of our Farmville guides and tutorials. This time we’ll deal with one way to earn more cash in Farmville. Of course we know that want to build the most pimped-up FarmVille ranch you can. You can accomplish this without paying real money to Zynga. You just need to be industrious and smart in the farming business. Oh yeah, FarmVille is not so simple anymore when you think about the business side of this game. Early on, you will get the satisfaction of play acting a small town farmer. But later in the higher-levels you will be compelled to doll up your virtual FarmVille land. That’s what all the high-level FarmVille addicts do. They spruce up their farm land with silly but adorable decorative elements. My friend is only level 30 but she has a mini carnival, numerous mansions and farm buildings, ponds, and dozens of animals.
