SPSS Inc. is the leading manufacturer of a tool widely used by mathematicians and statisticians like this author, the SPSS. This software has been around for years and this blogger has used it for 13+ years as the primary tool in data mining and analysis. Personally, I did not expect SPSS to be worth this much when I heard the news that the IBM-SPSS merger has become a reality.

PCLinuxOS: The Linux Distro With a Look and Feel of Windows

We are currently downloading the PCLinuxOS 2009.1 release and from the looks of it, this Linux distro is looking more and more like Windows. We are not sure how will this Linux distro compare with Linux Ubuntu 9.04 (the latest release of Ubuntu). We love Linux but we cannot live without Windows (sigh). Most of our important programs are Windows-based. Even the games we play run exclusively under Windows. And this is the problem why cannot fully migrate Linux. Our hard drives are always Dual OS and partitioning is sometimes a problem.

I have just downloaded Google Earth 5.0. Google Earth 5.0 is the newest Google earth version and you can download it for free. With Google earth, you’ll be able to see the world in a new perspective. You can even see earth in 3D using Google Earth 5.0. The only limitation is, photos were taken in 2006.
