Gartner, Inc., the world’s leading tech research company has issued their official OS analysis report for 2010. And it’s a no big surprise that Microsoft still commands a near-monopoly on the $30-billion annual business for computer operating systems. As per Gartner’s report, Microsoft took the lion share of 78.6% of all commercial personal and business OS market. That giant slice gave Microsoft $23.84 Billion of revenue!
The statistics don't lie, Microsoft is still 2010's biggest money-maker on the OS sector with almost 79% of total global marketshare.

Microsoft’s Chief Financial Officer Peter Klein proudly disclosed during the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference that Windows 7 has achieved 90 million unit sales since its debut last October 2009. This makes it the fastest-selling operating system ever created in history. Not even Microsoft’s first loveable Windows 95 could match it. The 90 million figures is more than twice what Vista sold in the same timeframe.

You can download a Windows 7 RTM copy via Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) Portal (English Version) if you are a Microsoft Partner Program Gold/Certified Member. Windows 7 RTM (Release to Manufacture) build 600.16385.090713-1255 has leaked online. This RTM of Windows 7 was denied by Microsoft stating in their blog that the upcoming desktop operating system is not scheduled for RTM until the 3rd or 4th week of this month.
