The French company maker of Archos 5 suffered public embarrassment last December when it first issued and then canceled their Android 1.6 update. The Archos 5 internet tablet owners were mollified that the firm actually did a last-minute cancel of its free Android 1.6 Firmware update after it was found to be corrupting the Android OS (read more about New Android Phones in our archives)!
