Kodak Sues Research in Motion (RIM) and Apple for Patent Infringement
I think Kodak is just being jealous because Research in Motion and Apple are making tons of profits from the brisk sale figures of iPhones and Blackberry smartphones. They want a cut from the billions of dollars that RIM and Apple Inc are raking in. Kodak has filed formal suit versus RIM and Apple Inc. claiming the two smartphone makers violated a number of Kodak patents on digital camera, specifically the “a Kodak patent that covers technology related to a method for previewing images” as well as “certain computer processes” (against Apple), Kodak said in their press release. The film and digital camera company has already asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to issue legal order stopping shipments and sales of iPhones and Blackberrys until the patent dispute is resolved.

New iPhone 2009 Release and Other Apple Rumors
The new iPhone 2009 release date is expected very soon. It will be concurrent with the iPhone OS 3.0 release date probably this month (one of the many Apple rumors buzzing around cyberspace these days). Around 100 new features are promised by Apple when they release the new iPhone 2009 edition – a new handset which will bring Apple fresh income until the time they release a newer set of units in the future. iPhone 3.0, as some phone experts call the new iPhone 2009 is going to be the center of attention for a long time for sure until other companies like Palm, Nokia and Samsung release newer smartphones that will take a shot at being the real “iPhone Killer“.
