Better late than never. T-Mobile is finally releasing the much-awaited Android OS 2.1 update for the Motorola Cliq Android phone. This slider QWERTY phone has been stuck in Android 1.5 for too long! Over 7.7 Million Android OS Phones Sold in 2009, Canalys Sales Reports
Below is a graph of Canalys’ annual Android phone sales report (some statistics or figures in the chart are estimates). Notice the huge 1100% increase of Android Phone sales from 2008. This is rather misleading because new Android phones were only available for sale starting in the last quarter of 2008. But industry analysts from Canalys insists that even if they take into account an imaginary sales figure for the whole 2008 of around 2 million units, the 2009 sales of 7.7 million still represents an incredible 350% sales increase!

Droid Update 2.0.1: Motorola Droid 2.0.1 System Update
