Project Playlist News: Project Playlist Banned by MySpace
If you have been using Project Playlist to compile a playlist of songs you love (which you can post in your Myspace and Facebook profiles, and also in your blogs), then this news is for you. Project Playlist was recently banned by Myspace. The playlist that you will create will no longer work on Myspace. This is indeed a frustration to MySpace users because Project Playlist is one of the most popular MySpace app out there and many users love it on their profiles in Myspace.
The Project Playlist group even stated in their website that
“MySpace has started blocking your playlists from loading on their site. Your playlists are still available here on Playlist.com, where you can continue to search for music, create and play new playlists.”
Facebook users can still use the playlist they have created though. This move from the Myspace admin came when they have allegedly started receiving infringment notices (copyright issues) from major music companies like Warner Music.
Also, since Myspace Music and MySpace Karaoke compete with Project Playlist, I think it heightened the need to block Project Playlist from appearing on Myspace profiles. Personally, I like Project Playlist a lot. It offers a significant amount of music that you can play virtually anywhere. All you need to do is create a playlist and install the codes and that’s it. You’ll get a working music playlist which you can even put in your blogs so your readers can listen to music while reading your articles.

Camper, that’s a good suggestion for music lovers. Facebook is a good social network also.

I was very upset when this happened as I used Project Playlist ALOT. I now use Mixpod from Mixpod.com that is essentially the same format and easy to integrate and update. I still refuse to use the MySpace music player.
