Perseid Meteor Shower 2009 Philippines
We were lucky to have witnessed part of the Perseid Meteor Shower this 2009 on August 12 (August 11 in other countries), around 10 pm Philippine time. We have covered and witnessed the same Perseid Meteor Shower in 2008 and perhaps we are lucky to have been part of this annual event. This is perhaps much more than watching any TV show or playing around electronic gadgets and devices. 2009 has been a great year for us here and we could only ask for nothing more but increased readership. Hehehe!
The Perseid meteor shower 2009 will last up to August 14 (Philippine time) according to reports. In our past experience, you might want to stay out of homes and hope to catch a glimpse of this natural event from 10 o’clock int he evening onwards. It was unfortunate we were not able to catch the Perseid meteor shower as it happens this 2009 using a video camera or a digital camera. We were not prepared for the event. We saw it by accident because on the night we saw it, the weather here in Ilocos Norte, Philippines was very hot and we went outside our house to get some fresh air.
We hope to watch Perseid Meteor Shower again tonight for the year 2009. Hopefully it won’t rain because the weather in our country these past few weeks has really been unpredictable and the rains have been blocking the view of the sky at night.
Here is a video of the 2009 Perseid Meteor Shower in other another country.
