Xewton Music Studio is a beast of an app. I am very impressed that the developers were able to squeeze so many features on it. There are cheaper music apps on iTunes but nothing can compare to the complexity of this app. First and foremost, it really stands out from the competition by offering 21 real-sounding virtual instruments. The software starts with an 85-key virtual piano but you can also have a guitar, cello, violin, organ and others. Each of these virtual instruments is not MIDI or Soundfont-generated. The developer said they hired session musicians and recorded the samples at a studio. Each sample is recorded at 16bit, 44 kHz fidelity that’s why it sounds authentic. Additionally, you can add audio effects and filters to each of these instruments. You can put reverb, delay, chorus and other DSP audio effects so you can create really cool and unique sound.
