Talk To Me has a very simple interface but don’t let that fool you. This software is coded by a top-notch programmer who knows what is essential and not. You get a plain box to type in your phrase and another box that will output the written translation. On top of these 2 text boxes, you have a dropdown menu where you choose the language to translate to. Notice that there is a big green button with a microphone icon. If you want to speak instead of typing, you can click this green button to activate the voice recognition software. Unfortunately, the Android operating system currently only supports English dictation. However, Talk To Me can vocalize or talk back to you the translation in more than 40 languages that supports the Roman characters! Arabic and Asian languages are also supported but are only available for textual translation.

Talk To Me is going to be a great tool for those who travel a lot and to those individuals who would like to learn a foreign language. While the author made this app available for free, kindly consider donating any amount you can afford to. You will need an active internet connection to use Talk To Me since it connects to the Google Translate service. You will also have to install the TTS or text-to-speech data if you want to take advantage of Talk To Me’s voice recognition software. Lastly, you need to have Android OS 1.6 (or higher) running in droid phone. Unfortunately, Sprint Motorola i1, the World’s First Push-To-Talk Android Phone runs on Android 1.5 so you can’t use this app. If not, this application won’t run properly. For our overall review of Talk To Me, 4.7 out of 5 rating.
