Opera Mini 5.1 App for Android Phone is now ready for free download. Opera Software announced the final release of its Opera Mini 5.1 browser for Android devices. Users who want an alternative browser on their Android phones should download this vastly-improved version of mobile Opera. The upgrade includes improved stability and a slew of other features. Opera Mini’s advantage over other free apps for the Android OS is that it uses server-side compression. This technique helps speed up page load times and saves you money on your internet data plan. It’s an extremely helpful tool considering the memory consumption of Android phones such as Samsung Galaxy S i9000 (powered by 1Ghz Hummingbird processor) or the new Verizon Motorola Droid X. I am also very happy with the way Opera Mini 5.1 handles browsers tabs after trying it out with my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 android mobile. It shows thumbnails of them on the bottom of your display! The new version also supports pinch or double tap to zoom. However, I’m a bit upset that there are only two zoom levels. There’s no way you can zoom in deeper to read small-text webpages like you could with the default Android OS browser. This issue should be fixed by Opera Software soon. Smartphones have small screen and reading on it is hard without greater zoom levels!

I’ve tried opera mini 5.1, a smart app for android mobile phones but i cannot download it from the internet or my computer. thank you
i want to download opera mini 5.1, i hope my android phone loads websites faster with this thingy. internet browsing with android phone is sometimes slow. maybe it’s my network connection that’s to blame. i don’t know.
