Reaching Level 40 and Up in Champions Online Takes Hard Work (Part 4)
Here’s another game tip and some tricks I’ve learned playing Champions Online using the Devastator Archetype. At level 40, you gain Brimstone. Brimstone is another Area of Effect attack. Rank 3 does a great damage and knockbacks targets for 2 feet which works like a short stun. If you’re a beginner, you should bear in mind that these tips will work great in PvE and if you like my strategy, it’s a superb PvP power too. Instead of doing the usual Decimate, Skewer, Eruption, Skewer, Skewer combo, I changed my tactical combo to Decimate, Skewer, Brimstone, Eruption, Brimstone, Skewer, Brimstone.
Always remember that the Devastator has very low defense and health points so you must keep your target busy with annoying, knockbacks, knock-up and knockdowns so they can hit you as much as they want to.
Having said this, a Devastator can do better in battle if it has a larger health pool. So do what I did. Instead of maximizing your Super Strength and Super Recovery stats, I put more points to Constitution.
My level 40 Devastator has 8,451 Health Points which is higher than the normal Devastator who usually have around 6,000 HP. So pick Talents that gives +5 constitution and gear with +Constitution equipment.
If you have enough Globals, you can try to find a purple Takofanes Dodge Primary Defense equipment. They sell for 100globals or more at Auction House. Getting this gear will give your Devastator 26% Dodge chance.
More health and better Dodge will make your Devastator a very effective Champions Online MMORPG PvP combatant! A great offense is not the best defense if you die in 1 or 2 hits.
