New Champions Online Game Guide and Tips for the Devastator Archetype (Part 3)
Teleport must be ranked to level 3 because the Devastator Archetype of Champions Online MMORPG has very low defense, Teleport will help you get out of sticky situations very quickly. It helps in the hit-and-run strategy of a smart Devastator. Unstoppable is your slotted offensive buff that lets you have 60% more damage when you get it to Rank 3. This buff only offers very little damage protection but it gives excellent energy return when you knock up or down an enemy.
No Game Cheats are Needed to Succeed and Level Up in Champions Online MMORPG
Decimate is your lunge power. It has a 50 foot range that will quickly let you reach a target. If you plan to PvP, take the Crippling Challenge and Nailed to the Ground Advantages. Blocking is very powerful in Champions online so you really need to have Crippling Challenge to disable the blocking skill of enemies.
Guard is your blocking skill. Rank it to level 3 so you get 360% damage reduction and this blocking skill will also grant your next attack with 120% more damage! The Devastator archetype is all about damage dealing, even defensive blocking will grant your attack more power!
Skewer is going to be your bread and butter fighting skill. At level 40, every tap of this skill delivers 1,200 damage. Get the Follow Through Advantage because it gives 25% more damage if you charge Skewer for 0.83 seconds. Furthermore, charging Skewer will grant your Devastator an Enraged Buff which gives another 15% or more damage defending on your Strength Stat. Enraged buffs can stack up to 8 times and they are just temporary. Enraged buffs will last longer if you have a high Constitution Stat.
Arc of Ruin is not to my liking in Champions Online Devastator Archetype. It does bigger damage than Cleave but it has a smaller cone of AoE. The No Quarter Advantage is a good debuff. Your target will get -10% damage reduction. Good only against tankers like Glaciers or Behemoths.
Aggressor is another lovely buff for the Devastator Archetype. Rank 3 will grant your attack 40% more damage. It’s a toogle skill. Buff once and it will stay on until you die or log out.
Earth Splitter is not a popular choice for other Devastator players but I find it more useful because just like Eruption, this power knocks up your target. Only difference is that Earth Splitter has a 50-foot effective range so you can cancel opponents who are charging up their big-damage skills. Nothing is more funny than cancelling and Impulse Archetype’s Force Cascade skill!
Taking Acrobatics as a second travel power with the Versatility Advantage is a great tactical choice because it helps in getting out of dangerous situation and your Teleport skill is still under the cooldown timer. The Versatility Advantage will also keep you moving fast after your travel powers got cancelled by NTTG (Nailed to the Ground) attack.
