Final Fantasy 14 Beta Now Available, Official Release Date in September
The Final Fantasy 14 Beta Signup is now live! Square Enix of Japan proudly announced today that their much-anticipated MMORPG game, Final Fantasy 14 Beta (FFXIV Beta) has already started its phase of release. Millions of fans have been eagerly waiting for this since early April but Square Enix had to postpone it numerous times due to several bug fixes. The Final Fantasy 14 Beta period started on the first day of September with the tentative final commercial release date of September 30.
PC gamers gets exclusive access to the Beta phase of Final Fantasy 14. Mac and Linux gamers should for now switch machines if they want to take the first crack on this addictive RPG. This game has always been dominated by PC gamers but the company said they may also release a version for the PlayStation 3 on March 2011. The Final Fantasy Franchise has gained cult status among early Playstation 1 gamers and it’s only smart for Square Enix to also cater to console gamers. Even PS3 owners can really get hooked even worst than their PC counterparts. If this plan pushes through, it will be the first time that a PS3 player gets to compete with PC owners in the realm of Final Fantasy 14 MMORPG!
You may now download the Final Fantasy 14 Beta client (English) from the official site, http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/. The early hours of the Beta on August 31 got delayed for 7 hours due to server overcapacity. Try it now and hopefully you will get in. Remember, there are millions of other fanatics out there trying to log in so good luck, I hope you get in on the Beta servers. I myself have been trying to get in for 2 hours but to no avail!
