Samsung Bada OS Competition Gives Away Free Samsung Wave S8500 Plus $2.7 Million Cash Prize
Ready to create money by developing apps for Samsung Bada OS? Samsung announced that they will be giving away total prize money of $2.7 Million to the winners of its Bada OS Developers Challenge. The contest is open to all interested programmers. The biggest money goes to the Grand Prize winner who will receive a whopping $300,000!
The competition has commenced and it will run for three months. Samsung will accept all entries within the 90 days grace-period and all of them will be put to test in the simulator app.
Win a Samsung Wave S8500 with Bada OS + Cash Rewards
Samsung will then choose the best 300 software entries and will notify their makers that they are in the semi-finals. Samsung will then send each of the 300 chosen programmers a Samsung Wave S8500 smartphone for free so the developers can test their programs in actual environment. The programmers will then have to fine-tune their software before Samsung gives the final judgment.
As mentioned earlier, the Grand Prize Winner will receive $300,000 prize money. In addition, there will be 23 runner-up winners who will receive rewards ranging from $100,000 to $40,000. Samsung will also give away a special reward worth $30,000 to ten people who create the ten most efficient and smallest application for the Bada OS!
All winning entries will be shared by Samsung as free downloads from the Bada OS app market. The huge prize money is one of the biggest ever. It only shows that Samsung is ready to spend a lot of money to promote the new Samsung Bada operating system.
