Que proReader: Pricey But Ultra Thin and Light Touchscreen eReader for Mobile Executives
Business executives are excited about the Que proReader and they are willing to splurge $799 (price) on it. Some overeager individuals even made pre-orders of it from the Barnes & Noble website for $799. Though this is not a cheap eBook reader like Kobo eReader and the famous Kindle 3 eBook Reader, the clamor for the Que proReader is 99% positive because business executives are gushing over its potential as an indispensable tool. Nobody is complaining about the high cost of obtaining it since Plastic Logic right from the very start last year already said that the Que proReader is an upscale product for the corporate market. Que proReader has 2 basic models: the 4GB proReader will retail for $649 and can save up to 35,000 documents; and the 8GB will sell for $799, which can hold up to 75,000 documents. Like Apple’s iPad, Que proReader has a Wi-fi only version and a Wi-fi + 3G version.
The high tag price of Que proReader is commensurate to the value it offers which ironically gained negative user reviews. You can post your own review in the comments section if you wish. In defense, the manufacturers said “It is not only a simple eReader like the Kindle 3 but the Que proReader is out take over as the new business briefcase for mobile corporate professionals“. Plastic Logic is preaching it as the new document paper for the 21St Century. It weights less than a pound and true-to-form of being billed as the new digital paper, its dimension is letter-sized standard 8.5 x 11 inches. The most astounding thing with the Que proReader is that it is only 1/3” thick! It really feels like a thin paper folio.
Plastic Logic is proud to say that their Que proReader is made of the best high-tech materials and says the display screen is shatterproof. Furthermore, the Que proReader is fully equipped with a quick and responsive Touchscreen interface. Finding and filing your documents will be painless. You won’t need a Stylus pen, the touch screen is top-notch.
Corporate buyers are also pleased that the Que proReader will sync easily with Microsoft office and with the Que software installer, this device will be compatible with PC, Mac and Blackberry Torch 9800 (and other Blackberry smartphone models). Transferring documents between your computers and smartphone to a Que proReader is touted to be a snap. This device will support Bluetooth, Wifi and 3G connectivity.
