IFA 2010: Consumer Electronics Unlimited Conference in Berlin, Germany

The 50th edition of IFA is now currently being held in Berlin, Germany. This is one of the year’s biggest electronics trade show and it will run from September 3 to September 8, 2010. The IFA is organized by The German Association for Entertainment and Communications Electronics in cooperation with Messe Berlin. The exhibition site is located at Messe Berlin GmbH, Messedamm 22, 14055 Berlin, Germany. Participants can buy tickets on site or online, the trade show is open 10A.M. – 6 P.M.

If you are an international trade visitor, you may enter the exhibit area as early as 8 A.M. The IFA catalogue is also for sale at kiosks for around 28 euros. The biggest name in electronics gadgets will be showcasing their latest gadgets. While the Americans conduct their annual Consumer Electronics Show 2010 or CES 2010, the Europeans have the IFA as a yearly event to celebrate the wonders of modern gadgetry!

IFA 2010 is Currently Being Held in Berlin, Germany

The first Keynote address on IFA 2010’s first day will be delivered by Bryan Burns, Vice-President of Strategic Planning at ESPN. His keynote speech will discuss the the challenges and alliances that are necessary to increase consumer interest in 3D. He will talk about his company’s early experience with broadcasting sporting events in 3D. He said the lessons they learned from it showed the world is ready for 3D technology but there’s a real need for industry-wide agenda of cooperation.

As an encore to Burns’ address, Bernhard Burgener, CEO of Constatin Medien AG, will follow up with a speech on the role of 3D media consumerism. He will preview trailers of Germany’s first 3D-enabled animation movie “Konferenz der Tiere” and the first 3D installment of the smash-hit video games Resident Evil franchise. The 3D Keynote speeches will be held at Hall 6.3 in the IFA International Keynote Area.
