DUI vs. Texting While Driving Simulation Research
The United Kingdom recently released the Texting While Driving Video advertisement designed to increase public awareness that texting is not a safe thing to do when you’re behind the wheels. It may be a cliche to say that Texting While Driving is dangerous but this is true. In fact, research has proven that Texting While Driving is More Dangerous than DUI. It was even featured on an episode of MythBusters in Discovery Channel.
To support this fact, here is a comparative research of two drivers who made a simulation of texting while driving and driving under the influence. First, both the drove normally as a baseline for the research. On the next situation, both drivers were texting while driving. On the third situation, both drivers were asked to drink an alcoholic beverage then drove again. What is more dangerous? driving under the influence or texting while driving? Watch this video.
