DreamGear Audio Box Review: DreamGear Audio Box with AM/FM Tuner & MP3 Connection (DGUN-112 or DGUN-113) is kind of an old fashioned designed audio box (I mean retro look) with a touch of class. The designer used a classic essential look because trends come and go but classics look stylish always. But don’t be fooled by its classic looks because the DreamGear Audio Box DGUN-112 and DGUN-113 is coupled with modern day technology.
The DreamGear Audio Box has a built-in AM/FM radio and an MP3 connection. Any media player with a 3.5mm audio jack can be connected to the DreamGear Audio Box and provides amplification. With this feature, it added our list of cheap iPod speakers. It can also be hooked up with Sansas like the Sansa Fuze 4GB Media Player. It is also perfect for the bathroom because DreamGear Audio Box is waterproof and usually comes with a shower hook.
However like any other product, the DreamGear Audio Box Review pointed out some weaknesses. According to one customer, the ipod interferes with the radio reception. To manage this problem, the iPod should not be left in the box and must be taken out when listening to the radio.
Another problem in one DreamGear Audio Box Review said:
The only big con was that once you ipod is in, you better like whatever playlist or song it’s on because you can’t change it. BUT! I found an interesting way around this. I have an airclick on my ipod 95% of the time (for the car), it’s a little bar that hooks up to your ipod so that you can use a remote control with it. So I left my airclick on, and put it in the isound (DreamGear Audio Box). Then, I put the remote in a tiny ziplock bag. So now I can change songs, and my remote is protected from water, because I’m most likely changing songs while in the shower. Perfect! For the price, I think this is the perfect little radio for any room or the beach, etc.
