Foxconn NT-A3500 Nettop: Tiny Powerful Computer with Brazos Fusion Technology
Foxconn is one of the world’s largest PC motherboard manufacturers and also a sub-contractor assembler of Apple products. But the company has now expanded their business to making their own branded computers. After all, they are already experts in manufacturing PC parts, why not just make their own PC then. Their latest nettop computer is the Foxconn NT-A3500. It uses AMD’s first Fusion technology platform, the Brazos.

This is not a wireless router. It's the Foxconn NT-3500 Nettop computer with AMD Fusion Technology!
Fusion is the merging of CPU and GPU and the NT-3500 boasts a dual-core 1.6 GHz AMD E350 processor with an integrated AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics accelerator. This tiny nettop computer is so small it can be mistaken for a simple router. But the dual-core processor and the DirectX-11 compatible graphics card inside the NT-3500 makes it a multimedia powerhouse. This makes it a lot better than the Asus EeeBox EB1501U Nettop we reviewed last year.
It can support up to 4GB of DDR3-1066 SODIMM RAM and the 2.5” SATA can be loaded with up to 1 Terabyte of hard drive. Despite it’s small frame of 190mm x 135mm x 25 mm, Foxconn still gave this nettop two USB 3.0 ports or four USB 2.0 ports, DVI and HDMI outputs, headphone jack, and an Ethernet port. As for connectivity, the Foxconn NT-3500 supports WiFi b/g/n with up to 300Mbps speed thanks to its dual-antennas.
Foxconn will be making the NT-3500 nettop available by the middle of May. Pricing is yet to be finalized when the Foxconn NT-A3500 Nettop computer release date arrives but I can safely presume this nettop won’t retail above $350 when it hits the stores. I’ll make a full-pledged review of this unit once I get my hands on it.
