Google Malware: Is Google Infected by a Malware?

January 31, 2009 · Filed Under Google News

Google Malware: Is Google Infected by a Malware? I think so. Today I saw some very bothering messages in Google search results indicating a warning message “Warning Visiting This Web Site May Harm Your Computer!“. This behavior exhibited by Google is common to malware attacks. I really hope Google will be able to do something about this as soon as possible because even ordinary users are bothered and at some point annoyed by this error message.

If it is true that Google malware really exists, this only shows that even big companies like Google can be attacked by a malware. This incident has certainly damaged search results as of this writing and users can no longer distinguish the legit sites from sites with real malwares. Google must act fast or else it will lose its credibility as the most trustworthy search engine on the internet today. This Google malware news could really hurt Google’s reputation, in my view.

The problem now is how to let people know which websites are truly malware content sites.

If people are smart, they’ll discard google malware erroneus warnings, but how to determine which are really bad. This is a great windows of time for all losers out there trying to fool the user, with some help of google of course.

    lokoadmin,

I believe Google has already fixed this a few hours ago. However, there is still the fear of users about Google malware or Google error in the near future. Let’s just hope this incident won’t happen again.

Today Google mistakenly listed every site on the Internet as malware.

This pulled all sites from Google. If you saw your site disappear today in your SEO software this is why.

It seems Google’s malware partner went down.
