Google Down: Persistent Gmail Problems Like Login Errors

Google being down is common these days. Gmail problems are not new and Google has been down several times in the past but the saddest thing is Gmail users complain about login errors in Google Mail (Gmail) causing Google to go down. Google outages are becoming common, in our observation. After the launch of the new Gmail platform, Google outage seemed like a regular thing.

The Google Error commonly encountered when Google goes down is

If you have encountered a “Google Down” problem and it’s very important for you to read you emails ASAP, better use the basic HTML mode. With this mode, it will be very likely that you will load the Gmail dashboard and read those emails. However, with basic HTML, the Chat function is automatically turned off. If the Chat function is not a matter of life and death on your part during your session, then you can pretty much  live with the basic HTML mode. But damn! It would have been better if it’s ON at all times. How did Google become so error-prone?

As of this writing, Google is down again and I can’t enjoy the Google Talk right from within my browser. At some point, this Google problem is beginning to annoy me and millions of other users out there. :-(
