I have to say i like both systems but I’ve noticed that other than the blu-ray there are no real advantages the ps3 has over xbox 360. I have played both systems in hi def and they are virtually IDENTICAL. The xbox 360 has more games. More people seem to prefer the ps controllers though i do not. Live is generally considered superior to PSN. As far as hard drive space the new 360 wins there. I think people are confused and assume that since the ps3 costs more they are getting something substantially better. They are paying extra for that blu-ray player and thats about it. Sorry ps3 owners, you have a great system but the differences that sony brags about are simply not there.

The FEW friends I know who have PS3, have to CONSTANTLY talk about the fact that the xbox 360 doesn’t have “Blu Ray” or how it “Runs on Linux” “everything is SOO much clearer on PS3″..Blah..Blah..Blah…

Who gives a Flying-F(*&K HOW “great” PS3 is or how many units sell! What it comes down to is…who’s making the most money and WHO is giving the gamer what they want…Xbox does that, with there DLC and Arcade. It blows PS3 out of the water…

Bottomline, the PS3 is some LAME A%S trophy…that sets in the living rooms of my friends and collects dust…They brag about it and talk it up….then come over and end up playing MW2 with us..

I can’t get enough of xbox 360 but PS3 has a lot of game exclusives like God of War 3, Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 which I would love to get my hands on. Still xbox has the Halo series the Gears of war series and other RPGs that I really enjoy so I might just buy a PS3 too.

I’m not surprised. Xbox 360 had a year head start. You also have to consider the fact that Xbox 360 can be modded which ATTRACTS gamers who doesn’t want or don’t have money to spend on games. I bet the 8 million in that figure are modded units. Just a thought.

I have both ps3 and 360 and like both,but is funny that xbox came out before ps3 and have better graphics, games run a lot smoother and xbox live is way better than psn. Only thing ps3 been riding with is blue ray.

why buy a ps3 when i can play ps3 games on my 360! how i here you ask. ok to start with i have work in I.T for 12 years mainly in programming so computers are my thing. First off i needed a blu-ray drive that would also read standard discs., I found the perfect match in the sony vaio nw laptop, the benfits of this also was as the system runs microsoft windows, the dvd drive is half compatible ish.,

Ok next problem was wiring in the laptop blu-ray drive to the xbox`s dvd/game read plug. This was a bit tricky and had to make up a new circuit board to covert propelly. Next was to completely re-write the 360`s BIOS which took me 10 weeks to master!! kept getting trouble with cross-site scripting ect. I also needed to overclock the 360 gpu and cpu to cope with the extra info on a ps3 blu-ray disc, Also i upped the systems ram from 512mb to 2gb. Now i was faced with the problem of which controller to reprogram in. I tried in vain to install the ps3 wireless receiver into the console., But just could not manage it., So 360 controller reprogrammed. I can also alter the consoles bios live with my lap top so i can adjust while testing.
so then it came to testing, I can currently only get the h.d to run 720 but i am working on it.

First game i tried was cod4 (ps3) version and the game would load with pictures/video then-CRASH the system, So another 4 weeks of reprogramming and tried again., this time result, game loaded and no crash , a bit more tweeking and the 360 controller worked– result!!

Next i tried the same game (360) version and again result!! then a blu-ray disc again result!! So now i have a xbox 360 that plays ps3 and blu-ray might rename it the ps3-60. Only problem now is this thing is getting hot!! I am currently in the process of water cooling but i predict after that it will be fine. This has cost me about $1200 to do so its not cheap nor easy. but its something i wanted to try as computers are all pretty much the same its just different o/s and incrytions that make then “non compatible” work your way round these and your there.

Not only does Xbox 360 outsell the PS3… it also outsells it in software annnnnnnndd Xbox live DLC… Xbox live has a monster of a market on Xbox live in comparison to the weak DLC that PSN offers.

Xbox 360 gives the gamer what he/she wants…. games… and better online service… PS3 gives the gamer… what a Technology nerd wants…….Blue-ray… slots… hardware/graphics… yeah um who cares? If you’re a gamer… you care about games and Xbox delivers… PS3 kind of does it?
