Fake Sony PSP 3000 and PSP 2000 Sold Cheap in the Philippines
We have received reports that Fake Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) 3000 and PSP 2000 are being sold cheap in the Philippines, China and other Asian countries. We had to see these PSP 3000 and PSP 2000 clones for ourselves and so we went to some stores in the Philippines (names will not be divulged here) and here are what we have found in our short trip to some Philippine stores:
These Sony PSP 3000 clones are sold in the Philippines for only PhP 2,500-4,000 (around $50-80). I wonder how did these fake Sony PSP 3000 and PSP 2000 units get pass through the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and Bureau of Customs Inspection Team since these fake Sony PSP 3000 portable gaming consoles are made in China and have entered the Philippine territory via seaports. Just asking. ![]()

The reason why this thing like this pass to Philippine ports? First focus on the men in charge in customs clearing division. If you pay tax duties legally then you got a lot of hassles but if you arrange it under the table then all things is easy even it is illegal.

How are we to know if the psp being sold in stores are original and not fake? ty.

first, the NTC has nothing to do with such devices. they are not communication devices.
2nd, they are not PSP clones, they look nothing like a PSP. they are actually what they call MP5 players, a cross between an MP3 player, a portable movie player and a gaming console that plays old gameboy rom.
