Sony PlayStation Move Motion Controller for PS3 Price and Release Date Announced at E3 2010
PS3 Update: Sony announced the PlayStation Move Motion Controller price and release date at E3 2010. Sony Computer Entertainment wasn’t dazzled by Microsoft’s unveiling of the Kinect Motion Controller for Xbox 360 at E3 last June 13. The Japanese company came up with cheers of its own when it proclaimed that its Playstation Move Motion Controller for the PS3 will ship starting September 15 in Europe and Asian markets, and September 19 to U.S. customers. The audience let out an appreciative roar of approval when Sony announced that they will be selling the full bundle price for only $99.99. This package consists of the PlayStation Move, Playstation Eye, Sports Champions Blu-ray Game and a PlayStation Move Demo Disc.
If you don’t have a PlayStation 3 console yet, you may avail of the promo and pay a low price of $399.99 for a PS3 system bundled with the Playstation Move package mentioned above. There is also an option to buy each item separately. You can buy the PlayStation Move for $49.99 and the PlayStation Eye camera for $39.99. Sony is offering a companion navigation controller that works like the Nintendo Wii’s Nunchuk for $29.99.
Sony also announced that they are scheduled to release 20 game titles to coincide with the Move’s commercial debut. All of these games will either be dedicated to work seamlessly with the PlayStation Move system. Some of these video games are Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition by CAPCOM Co., Ltd., Time Crises: Razing Storm by Bandai Namco Games Inc., Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 by Electronic Arts Ltd, Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest by WB Games Inc, EyePet, Sports Champions, Kung Fu Rider by SCE and many more. Sony Computer Entertainment reiterated its commitment to work closely with third-party developers to create more advanced games in the coming months.
Sony’s motion-control system will debut almost 6 weeks before Microsoft’s Kinect Motion Controller for Xbox 360 gaming console. I think Microsoft is just waiting for this price announcement and may also offer the Kinect for the equivalent price of $99.99. Too bad Sony didn’t announce a new model for its PS3, Xbox 360 got a new upgraded version which may keep giving Microsoft the upper hand in terms of sales.

When we can have the starters kit in India and at what price
thanks,
Ashish
